Here's Our Common Question From Listeners

A podcast is a digital medium consisting of audio (or video) episodes that relate to a specific theme. The hosts of a podcast are referred to as “podcasters.”
There are a few ways to listen to a podcast, including:
  • Using a podcast app
Download a podcast app like Spotify or Apple Podcasts, search for a podcast, and then select an episode to play. You can also subscribe to podcasts to receive new episodes automatically.

  • Streaming from a website
Go to the podcast’s website and stream the podcast directly.

  • Using a smart speaker
Ask a smart speaker like Google Nest or Amazon Echo to play a podcast for you.

  • Connecting your smartphone to your car or home audio system
If your car or home audio system has Bluetooth, you can connect your smartphone to it to listen to podcasts.

You can also download podcasts to your device so you can listen to them offline.

When subscribing to a podcast, free and paid subscription options are available.  If you should subscribe to either, you will be notified when new episodes or airing and/or you may be notified about future episodes.  Paid subscriptions help fund the podcasters production, distribution and marketing costs.

Yes, introverts can be successful podcasters. While podcasting may seem like an extrovert’s domain, introverts can be excellent podcasters with time and practice. Here are some tips for introverts who want to start a podcast:
  • Connect from home
Recording a podcast can be a way to connect with others while staying in the comfort of your own home.

  • Practice self-care
Podcasting can be mentally and emotionally demanding, especially if you’re sharing personal experiences or opinions.

  • Use your strengths
If you’re a better writer than a talker, you can use that to your advantage.

  • Learn from others
Listen to podcasts by other introverted podcasters to learn from their experiences. For example, Morra Aarons-Mele’s show Hiding In The Bathroom presents an alternative take on success and normalizes introverted behavior.
